Evelyn collection : ウィキペディア英語版 | Evelyn collection
The Evelyn collection is a collection of images of York, North Yorkshire, England, from the early 1900s taken by Dr William Arthur Evelyn. It is considered to be one of the most important collections of its era. It sold at Christie's for £700,000 in 2006. In 1902 he joined the Yorkshire Architectural and York Archaeological Society (YAYAS). Later as Treasurer and Secretary, he used YAYAS to lead many campaigns against the spoliation of the city he loved by both the Corporation and private interests. ==External links==
